Founded in 1976, Medshore Ambulance is the largest privately owned ambulance service in South Carolina and has provided medical transport services to the Palmetto State for more than 40 years.
Medshore Ambulance Service provides emergency and nonemergency medical transport services to more than 100,000 patients in South Carolina each year.
The company currently operates 100 emergency vehicles in 17 counties with more than 520 employees. Headquartered in Anderson, South Carolina, Medshore provide coverage throughout the state of South Carolina and is the emergency 9-1-1 provide to Anderson, Barnwell and Chesterfield counties.
Medshore was the first ambulance service provider in South Carolina to achieve accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), the industry’s gold standard of operational excellence. The company received its CAAS accreditation in 2001 and has maintained national standards through a rigorous onsite review process every three years.
The Medshore leadership team has more than 250 years of experience in emergency medical services and the medical transportation industry. Medshore CEO Greg Shore was the first paramedic licensed in the state of South Carolina and started his ambulance business at the age of 18 in 1976. Medshore Ambulance is proud to be a family-owned and family-run business. Greg’s wife Bunny Shore, as well as his three sons, Chris Shore, Josh Shore and Justin Shore are all leaders at the company.
In 2017, Medshore joined the Priority Ambulance family of companies, which operates in nine states.
