PUCKETT EMS HISTORY
A Tradition of Excellence
Puckett EMS serves more than 52,000 patients each year with more than 340 employees and 66 emergency vehicles. Puckett EMS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), the gold standard in emergency medical services.
Steve Puckett founded and operated Puckett Ambulance from 1984 to 1996 providing a high quality, cost effective service to the communities it served. In 1996, Puckett Ambulance was sold to Medtrans Corporation. After five years, Puckett felt himself drawn back to the ambulance industry.
Steve Puckett explains, “A career in EMS is really a calling. From serving as an EMT in the field to running Puckett EMS, there was always something that compelled me to help other people. It was that calling to serve the community that led me to found Puckett EMS.”
In March of 2001, Steve formed a partnership with Shane Garrison, a friend, colleague and previous Director of Operations for Puckett Ambulance. Puckett EMS was incorporated on March 12, 2001.
Puckett EMS specializes in emergency 911 system management partnering with local first responders and medical facilities to maintain high performance and customer service.
