NATIONAL EMS HISTORY
National EMS has operated for more than 40 years in the state of Georgia, and is proud to be the first private ambulance company in the state to earn prestigious national accreditation from the Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services. We have remained nationally accredited for 25 consecutive years, supported by our team of expert EMTs and paramedics.
National EMS was founded by Pat and Mary Ellen Atkins in 1976 and has been serving the citizens of Georgia with premier nonemergency and emergency 9-1-1 ambulance services in that time.
National EMS provides pre-scheduled ambulance services in a four-county area east of metro-Atlanta, Georgia. The company also is the contracted 9-1-1 emergency ambulance provider in Rockdale, Morgan, Oconee, and Athens-Clarke counties. National EMS is the preferred ambulance provider to the University of Georgia Athletic Association.
Our staff of highly trained paramedics and EMTs are equipped with the latest fleet and equipment to offer basic life support, advanced life support and critical care transport options for our customers and patients.
