Kunkel Ambulance is proud to announce that operations Supervisor Anthony Arrigo has been named the 2017 Safety and Quality in EMS award winner by the Midstate Regional Emergency Medical Services Council.
Arrigo began his career in EMS in 2011 as both a paid and volunteer provider, working his way up the ranks from Emergency Medical Technician to Paramedic. He joined Kunkel Ambulance in 2012 and currently serves as operations supervisor for the company’s growing base of operations in upstate New York.
Vinny Faraone, director at Kunkel Ambulance, presented the award to Arrigo at the recent Midstate Regional Emergency Medical Services Council awards program. “This award boils down to three things: passion, leadership and work ethic. And Anthony Arrigo is no exception,” Faraone said.
“Anthony is always looking for ways to improve safety for our patients and our crews, while always delivering exceptional quality care,” Faraone continued. “Whether it’s ensuring on-scene safety protocols are met or taking the initiative on vehicle preventative maintenance, Anthony is a guy you can count on.”
Arrigo was honored to receive the award. “We strive every day to incorporate safety and quality into everything we do,” he said. “I push myself and our crews to be the best we can be for our patients and community, and being recognized for this was very humbling.”
