[vc_rFrontier Ambulance is now serving Fremont County, Wyoming with 9-1-1 and interfacility ambulance service. The new company began serving the county on Thursday, July 1 and the ambulance service transitioned at midnight.

Over the past 30 days, Frontier Ambulance leadership has been working closely with the Fremont County Commission, Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, Fremont County E-911 Center, SageWest Health Care, Wyoming Office of Emergency Medical Services and many other organizations to ensure a seamless transition to a new provider. The Fremont County Commission approved a five-year contract with Frontier Ambulance on June 1 beginning a 30-day accelerated implementation period.

“The collaboration and support that we have received from the community has been phenomenal,” said Frontier Ambulance Director Dennis Rowe. “We are grateful to the Fremont County community for welcoming us and helping us begin our partnership on a strong foundation. Together, our goal is to create a sustainable EMS system with the county, and we hope to be a long-term partner serving the people of Fremont County.”

Frontier Ambulance is now operating the county-owned ambulance fleet and staffing an initial deployment of five 24-hour advanced life support ambulances with EMTs and paramedics. All Fremont County ambulances are dispatched by the Fremont County E-911 Center. Frontier Ambulance has planned for and staffed up for the community’s Fourth of July holiday celebrations,” said Rowe. “We are also providing standby service to many community events going on this weekend.”

Frontier Ambulance is part of the Priority Ambulance family of companies, one of the largest, fastest-growing private ambulance services in the country. Priority Ambulance keeps decision-making local and signals that commitment by choosing to operate under company names and local identities that match with the community, which is why Frontier Ambulance was selected as a company name. Fremont County represents the company’s first expansion into the state of Wyoming.

Frontier Ambulance is actively hiring for EMT and paramedic positions with a limited-time sign-on/retention bonus at www.frontier-ambulance.com.
