STATEMENT FROM: Bryan Gibson, CEO, Priority Ambulance
DATE: March 5, 2018
Priority Ambulance submitted a competitive proposal to provide emergency 9-1-1 ambulance response in the City of Colorado Springs in January. We received notice this week that our organization was selected as the highest-scoring firm in the City of Colorado Springs’ thorough bid process. As we enter into negotiations with the City of Colorado Springs, we look forward to creating an effective, integrated ambulance response system as partners with the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
Priority Ambulance is a rapidly-growing, innovative ambulance service that will bring new technology, new ambulances with state-of-the-art safety systems and a talented leadership team to Colorado Springs.
We believe in planting community roots, keeping decision-making local and valuing local talent. In January 2019, existing EMTs and paramedics in the community will have a place in our operations, and we will make every effort to make the transition to a new company smooth and efficient for the fire department, employees and the community.
The 9-1-1 contract is a five-year contract beginning January 2019.
