Priority Ambulance hires Amanda Shell Jennings as director of marketing and communications

Priority Ambulance has hired Amanda Shell Jennings as director of marketing and communications to manage internal and external communications throughout the company’s national footprint.

Jennings will create and implement communications strategies and manage the company brand throughout the eight-state service area. Jennings has provided marketing and public relations support for the company since its founding in 2014 in her role as senior account executive with public relations firm Moxley Carmichael.

“Having worked with us since the beginning, Amanda understands Priority Ambulance’s mission to the communities we serve,” Priority Ambulance CEO Bryan Gibson said. “That insightful knowledge of our company’s operations and her marketing and media relations expertise will allow her to elevate and communicate Priority Ambulance’s brand. Prior to joining Priority Ambulance, Jennings was a top performing account executive at Moxley Carmichael for five years, where she created and executed strategic communications plans for Priority Ambulance, Tennessee Theatre, Knoxville Convention Center, Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum, US Nitrogen and Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation, among other clients. Jennings specializes in media relations, event planning, marketing, crisis communications, internal communications and social media strategy.

Jennings is involved in local professional organizations and currently serves as treasurer of the Volunteer Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She previously served as the vice president of collegiate relations for the Knoxville American Marketing Association from 2012 to 2015.

Jennings will be based at Priority Ambulance’s corporate headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee.
